Taste specialty products from small-scale producers and local businesses both in the city center and south of the Arno River. Explore the culinary history of the city, learn about local food culture, and experience Florence like a local!
Here are some of the highlights you can expect:
• Learn to properly taste extra virgin olive oil and how to pair it with food. Warning: this is guaranteed to turn you into an olive oil snob!
• Sample the truffle sandwich loved by generations of Florentines
and the Italian royal family alike, paired with a glass of sparkling wine (morning tours) OR learn the history of the Negroni, Florence’s famous cocktail, and taste and learn to mix up your own favorite version of this classic drink (afternoon tours).
• Take a load off at a hidden wine bar — located in a 12th-century cellar — where you’ll taste some of our favourite red wines and some of the best cured meats and cheese that Tuscany and Puglia have to offer.
• Explore the Oltrarno area, one of the most colorful areas of Florence.
• Taste my favorite gelato in Florence, it won’t disappoint!

Italy is a very family-friendly country, and children of all ages are welcome. If possible, we recommend traveling with your youngest children in carriers or very compact strollers for navigating small sidewalks, shops, and markets.
Typically tours are limited to ten people for ease of moving about and to guarantee a high-quality experience for all participants. Should you be interested in a custom itinerary or larger group tour, don’t hesitate to ask!
